1.

To educate and guide you towards your dream results.

2.

To provide the best customer service in design, fabrication and installation.

3.

To make you happy!

“OUTSIDE OF EXPERIENCE AND TALENT, PERHAPS OUR BIGGEST STRENGTH IS OUR ABILITY TO FOCUS ON A CLIENT INDIVIDUALLY AND PROPERLY. NEARLY ALL OF OUR COMPETITORS FOCUS ON VOLUME, INSTEAD OF QUALITY AND PERSONAL ATTENTION. OUR PROGRAM IS DESIGNED FOR THE CUSTOMER. IN A NORMAL BUSINESS DAY, WE ONLY AIM TO INSTALL ONE KITCHEN/PROJECT, INSTEAD OF RUSHING THROUGH 3 OR 4 KITCHENS POORLY. AT COUNTER CULTURE, YOUR INSTALL DAY IS ALL ABOUT YOU AND YOU WILL GET MY A-TEAM’S INSPIRING EXPERIENCE AND UNDIVIDED ATTENTION UNTIL WE FINISH AND YOU ARE THRILLED. THAT’S HOW YOU TRULY THANK A CUSTOMER FOR THEIR BUSINESS.”

OUR HISTORY

Irv Trachtenberg opened Counter Culture Plus in February 2006. His wife and son, Ellen and GJ, almost immediately stepped in to help run the family business with his having such sudden and unexpected success. Also unexpectantly, in 2010, Irv was diagnosed with Stage 4 throat cancer and had step back from the business for treatment. Since then, GJ has been running the business. Not only did GJ bring a lot of experience, but he brought a mountain of virtue. The first thing he did, not to mention in a terrible economy, was change his business model to do less volume in order to offer a superior product; more personal attention and the best service you can ask for. And since 2012, Counter Culture has won every kind of award they give for excellence in installation and service. He has also had the unwavering support of his mother, Ellen, who carefully handles the financial operations and can also help clients with questions. In 2015, we had the cosmically good fortune to meet our showroom manager, Leslie, who now handles most of the walk-in clients with the exact thoughtfulness and dedication that GJ built his reputation on.

Here are some of his other interests that ensure he has literally no free time at all.
